With my veil i put my faith on display - rather than my beauty. My value as a human is defined by my relationship with God, not by my looks, I cover the irrelevant, And when you look at me, you dont see a body. You view me only for what i am; a servant of my Creator.

Ramadhan?!?

As the warm breeze of Ramadan settles, we are reminded of the Prophet’s statement, ‘Upon the arrival of Ramadan the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained.’ Ramadan brings with it a host of possibilities. Look at it as a chance to enter into a garden filled with fresh fruits, luscious vegetables and beautiful flowers. Some will fill their baskets to the brim, others will fill them half way, and some will fail to fill their baskets with anything.
Those who filled their baskets will have done so with a varied harvest; some choosing the best the garden has to offer, while others simply settle for those of a lesser quality. One of the best fruits we can reap during this month is one of the most difficult to attain. Its fruit is not found on the ground having fallen from a tree, nor is it found amongst the lower branches. This fruit is found at the highest part of the tree and getting to it takes effort, patience and most importantly truthfulness with oneself. This is the fruit of repentance and reflection. ‘Repent to God, oh believers, and you will be successful.’

Success is a tough word, it haunts us at work, home and school. And like a beneficial medicine, it is not easy to swallow. The reality of success is that it is anchored in the tangible; it is not a theoretical enterprise, but, as we say in the United States, “requires one to strap on his boots”. The Arabs understood this well, thus the word for success falah is associated with the one who farms or harvests al-falaah because the latter cannot come without diligence and hard work. So, repentance is a substantial enterprise, an effort, a struggle towards spiritual inventory. Caliph Umar said, “Audit yourselves before you are audited by God.” Hassan, the Prophet’s grandson also explains this concept. He said, “Those who have the easiest time in the hereafter are those who are keen to call themselves to account in this life.”
Returning to God while struggling to swim the deep seas of life is a difficult enterprise, no one likes to hear bad things about themselves. But if we are able, during this blessed month, to sit and audit ourselves, to take account of our spiritual principals; investigating our true state and relation with God, family and others, we will have reaped the fruits of a blessed harvest; setting the stage for a new course in our relationship with the Most Merciful. Once the Prophet ascended the pulpit and at each step he was heard saying, “Ameen”. Later the companions enquired about the Prophet’s statement upon which he responded that Gabriel came to him supplicating against three types of people, one was he who failed to repent during the month of Ramadan thereby failing to be forgiven for his sins.

Overcoming the Obstacles

There are a number of obstacles that lurk hidden for the one who seeks repentance. Perhaps the greatest is the feeling of fear and despondence. Many feel that it is simply too late to change: “I’ve done my dirt and there is simply no way to get back on track.”

Firstly, let’s understand that sinning is part of human nature. The Prophet, peace be upon him said, “Every person commits sins. And the best sinners are those who repent.” Many have claimed that the feelings of profound guilt and depression regarding their state, chain them from turning to God. This is one of the greatest tricks of the Devil; closing the door of hope to God’s mercy after sinning. Once a man came to the mosque of the Prophet complaining about his sins; the man was so overcome and saddened by his state that the Prophet said to him, “Say this: O God, your forgiveness is greater than my sins and my hope in Your mercy is greater to me than my [evil] actions.”
The man said this and the Prophet said to him, “Say it again.” The man repeated it, then the Prophet said to him, “Say it again.” The man did it and the Prophet said to him, “Arise for, indeed, God has forgiven you!”For this reason Ibn Kathir reports that the Prophet, upon him be peace, said about the verse, “Say [Muhammad] to My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of God’s mercy. Indeed, God forgives all sins and He is the One who forgives and is Merciful”, “It is more beloved to me than anything under the Heavens and on Earth.”
Secondly, sins should be seen as a strategy for one to turn in humility back to God. One of the early scholars said that, “A person could enter Paradise because of a sin he committed.” Upon hearing this, his student challenged him by asking, “How could that be?” The scholar responded: “The sinner persistently thinks about it, which causes him to fear it, regret it, weep over it and feel humiliated in front of his Lord due to it. He stands before God, broken-hearted, with his head lowered in humility. So this sin is more beneficial to him than doing many acts of obedience, since it caused him to have humility and humbleness – which leads to his happiness and success – to the extent that this sin prevents him from entering Paradise.” Thirdly, rebounding from sin is one of the simple fruits related to our success. If we were to ask many people what it was that brought them back to faith, many would mention a mistake they made in the past. The Prophet said, “Repentance is regret.” That regret is one of our greatest fears. In reality, however, it is a mercy from God which pricks at our conscience until we ultimately return to Him.
God says, “And [He also forgave] the three who were left behind [and regretted their error] to the point that the Earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness, and their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no refuge from God except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, God is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.” (9:118) Notice the wording at the end of this verse “Then He turned to them so they could repent.” Thus, repentance doesn’t start with the sinner, but begins when God turns to him with His mercy, love and compassion; awakening his heart with guilt, gently guiding him to His forgiveness. The sinner was lost in a sea of confusion and misery and God found him, guided him and forgave him.
The Prophet, upon him be peace, said: “God has greater joy at the repentance of one His servants when he turns towards Him than one of you would have over his mount, which, having escaped from him saddled with food and drink in the middle of the desert, so that he has despaired of finding it and gone to a tree to lie down in its shade, it suddenly appears standing by him while he is in that state, so that he takes its reins and then says out of the intensity of his joy, ‘O God, You are my slave and I am Your Lord!’ getting confused because of his intense joy.”
Fourth, I’ve done so many things in the past and failed to repent. How is it that, after all of these years, I could face God with such a blackened record? The Prophet, upon him be peace, said, “God the Mighty and Majestic accepts the repentance of His servant as long as his death-rattle has not begun.” Thus, no matter when, as long as one turns to God seeking His forgiveness, only then can that person expect to be forgiven.
Furthermore, there is no sin greater than God’s ultimate mercy and forgiveness. The Prophet, upon him be peace said:”God the Almighty has said: ‘O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me, and hope in Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds in the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I shall forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with an earthful of sins and were you then to face Me, without having associated anything with Me, I shall grant you an earthful of pardon.’”
Ibn Rajab noted that this Prophetic tradition begins with “O son of Adam” because of its context, repentance and forgiveness. Thus, when one despairs over his mistakes and shortcomings, he should recall God’s favour upon mankind, exercised upon their forefather Adam. Thus, just as Adam repented to his Lord and, as noted in the Qur’an, “He immediately forgave him,” his offspring should do the same.

The Qualities of Repentance

Scholars noted that sound repentance should be coupled with the following qualities: 1) Leaving the sin 2) Regret, and 3) Resolving never to return to the sin again.
The month of Ramadan is a time of serious reflection, increased awareness and devotion. Its beginning is mercy and its ending is marked by forgiveness and salvation. Let us take advantage of this time to set aright our affairs, rebounding from our mistakes and sins from the past. Let us turn to the Most Merciful.

How Come?

Assalamu'alaikum my brothers and sisters...been quite a long time since i updated my blog...been busy with a lot of things...cant remember what tho..hehe

My exams, alhamdulillah are all over for my 2nd year of medicine. Still waiting for my results. U all pray 4 my success k? god bless..

Today, me and my brother went out to eat at a restaurant that just opened, Hadramaut. It's located at "qaumiyah" at Zagazig, Egypt. What i wanna tell u all now isn't what i ate there today.....but if u still wanna know i'll tell u later. :D

What i wanna tell u all is about my day...be my psychiatrist for a moment k?..hihi

-after we were full we went our separate ways. while he was on his way back to his house, i, was still in that area around hadramaut(not yaman k, the restaurant!), there were a bunch of kids. The usual dirty-clothed, homeless looking kids that approach every malaysian they see hoping they get some extra change or something. Well, they saw me and they rushed towards me and with their sign language, looking like they want something to eat, but which was actually their way of saying "plz give me some money or any valuables or junk food".

There were about 2-3 kids there and i was about to take out some change but before i knew it there were about 5 or 6 of them in front of me. Surprised to see more kids like the ones i see everytime i'm in that area. Their population increased since last year. Alot of new faces...I didn't have anywhere to be so i decided to talk to them for a while. Most people wouldn't do so....they would just avoid them or tell them to go away as if they were nothing. Hey! those kids are people too...try being them for a day...i talked to them just like any other kid. Asked them their names, where they lived...it was kinda amusing making conversation with them...i'm a kid person so don't be surprised...

anyway, i was still gonna take out some change but then came an idea. I told them, if they wanted something, they first have to recite the surah al fatihah.....and u know what........1 out of 5 of them knew how. i didn't blame them, most of them were small except him who was 12 years old. but they were old enough to learn and then i asked if they could recite any other surah, but they said they didn't know any....then i went to something more easier, zikrullah...they didn't know how...ya Allah...i tried to teach them a lil bit...subha-nallah.....alhamdu-lillah....but then the azan for asar prayer was heard. i told them to stay put as i go pray for a while. I asked them to come pray with me but they said they didn't know how...ya Allah..

After i was done praying and as i stepped out of the masjid, i was scouting for the kids but there were only one of them. I wanted to speak with all of them but they all scattered cuz one of them got hit by a car...Alhamdulillah nothing too serious...a bit dangerous for kids to be wondering the streets. but there was ahmad in front of me, with his smugging face still asking for something from me. but first i asked him, " how come u didn't pray with the brothers?...ur old enough to pray and ur already obligated to pray" but he answered the same "i dont know how"...i said, " its ok, just pray with the brothers....u know how to make ablution(wudu') rite?" alhamdulillah he said he knew by giving little gestures...and then i asked again" how come u didn't come pray with us?"...he silenced for a while and answered, "i don't know how and i wasn't taught how to"...ya Allah...then i said "ok, just ask the brothers to teach u how alright?"...he nodded then i said to him, "ok, next time i see u, i want u to pray ok...if u want something from me u just gotta wait next time k??"....he nodded and asked me when he could see me again....i answered, i dont know...we'll meet again insyaAllah....

As i walked home there were so many things that ran through my mind....what happened to the other kids, what i could've done to give some islamic knowledge to them, what the egyptions could do prevent poor kids to become somewhat of what i met today...there were so many ideas that came into mind that time but what can i do? i knew what i could've done today but wasn't given a chance to. insyaAllah next time kids...

.....be grateful my brothers and sisters...u have the money, u have the capability, u have the will for islam...but why sit on ur bottom all day and do nothing?...let these kids be a reminder of what u you have and what they don't...not to be proud of, but as something for u to think about and stay grateful for whatever u have rite now...............wallahua'alam

....owh and i ate a plate of basmati rice with chicken :D...yummy2.......alhamdulillah

The Broken Wing - A Reply

To the bird with one wing

Allah Swt does make pair all things

Pause awhile, reflect and think

Not all pairs manage to have "40 winks"

Allah Swt is most fair

one wing or two is not an affair

There is a blessing in all these

or maybe just for you to maintain an inner peace

To the one winged bird

not the second nor the third

Allah swt only sees the obedience

among all HIS good servants

The trial and tribulation is not for a wimp

steadfast and persevere is the main theme

How many two winged birds, have their light so dim

the wings argue and often do not click as a team

Allah swt blesses the one winged

the heart that is pure and not wicked

Don't just follow the flock

to beat that biological clock

The important thing is not to stray

the end of the tunnel, there is a ray

Keep with Allah and Rasulullah

One wing will be two in due time, insha'allah

Don't give up hope for a suitor

If you can't fly, walk to your creator

Not all wings seem as it is

the phase you undergo will soon cease

If you manage to find your other wing

Don't it make you fly around a ring

From Allah swt great things are installed

Don't fly if you know you'll fall

In history we learnt about many great sufis

devoted to Allah swt without a fee

The bird with a broken wing must maintain this attitude

because the reward from Allah swt is great in magnitude

I am just a humble servant

I pray that my reply is relevant

Israel attacks Gaza aid fleet

Israeli forces have attacked a flotilla of aid-carrying ships aiming to break the country's siege on Gaza.

At least 10 people were killed and more than 30 people injured when Israeli troops stormed the Freedom Flotilla early on Monday, the Israeli Army Radio said.

The flotilla was attacked when it was 65km off the Gaza coast.

Footage from the flotilla's lead vessel, the Mavi Marmara, appeared to show armed Israeli soldiers boarding the ship and helicopters flying overhead.

Al Jazeera's Jamal Elshayyal, on board the Mavi Marmara, said Israeli troops had used live ammunition during the operation.

The Israeli Army Radio said soldiers opened fire "after confronting those on board carrying sharp objects".

Free Gaza Movement, the organisers of the flotilla, however, said the troops opened fire as soon as they stormed the ships.

They also said the ships were now being towed to the Israeli town of Haifa, instead of Ashdod to avoid waiting journalists.

Earlier, the Israeli navy had contacted the captain of the Mavi Marmara, asking him to identify himself and say where the ship was headed.

Israeli intervention

Shortly after, two Israeli naval vessels had flanked the flotilla on either side, but at a distance.

Organisers of the flotilla carrying 10,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid then diverted their ships and slowed down to avoid a confrontation during the night.

They also issued all passengers life jackets and asked them to remain below deck.

Al Jazeera’s Ayman Mohyeldin, reporting from Jerusalem, said the Israeli action was suprising.

"All the images being shown from the activists on board those ships show clearly that they were civilians and peaceful in nature, with medical supplies on board. So it will surprise many in the international community to learn what could have possibly led to this type of confrontation," he said.

Protests

Condemnation has been quick to pour in after the Israeli action.

Thousands of Turkish protesters tried to storm the Israeli consulate in Istanbul soon after the news of the operation broke. The protesters shouted "Damn Israel" as police blocked them.

Turkey is also reported to have summoned the Israeli ambassador to lodge a protest.

Meanwhile, Ismail Haniya, the Hamas leader in Gaza, has dubbed the Israeli action as "barbaric".

Hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists, including a Nobel laureate and several European legislators, are with the flotilla, aiming to reach Gaza in defiance of an Israeli embargo.

But Israel has said it will not allow the flotilla to reach the Gaza Strip and vowed to stop the six ships from reaching the coastal Palestinian territory.

The flotilla had set sail from a port in Cyprus on Sunday and aimed to reach Gaza by Monday morning.

Israel said the boats were embarking on "an act of provocation" against the Israeli military, rather than providing aid, and that it had issued warrants to prohibit their entrance to Gaza.

It asserted that the flotilla would be breaking international law by landing in Gaza, a claim the organisers rejected.

Letter To The Egyptian Government Officials

To Whom It May Conern,

I am writing this letter to you to express my outrage and disgust at your continued inhumane treatment of 1.7 million Palestinians in Gaza, who live in squalid conditions due to your enforced siege on the besieged region.

You enforced the siege on Gaza, due to the fact that they held fair and democratic elections. As you are ruled by a tinpot dictator, you wouldn't know what a democratic election is.

For nearly 4 years now, you have continued to do what you are told by Israel and the US. Each year you recieve billions in military aid in order to suffocate them, and starve them.

During the brutal attacks on Gaza 17 months ago, you refused to open the Rafah border and allow them to escape these barbaric attacks. You locked them up to die.

You have built an underground "Wall Of Death" between Gaza and yourselves, in order to prevent them from bringing food through the tunnels. Countless deaths have occured in these tunnels at your hands, and today, 6 young men died as a result of your inhumane actions.

As I write this letter to you, 750 humanitarians are setting sail for Gaza in 9 ships in order to bring in humanitarian aid that you and your boss Israel REFUSE to allow into Gaza. Your boss, Israel, have issued serious threats to this Flotilla, and have said they will "Stop it by any means necessary".

What are you going to do? Will you take your orders and sit idly by and allow them to be attacked, or will you stand up and say "Enough Is Enough", and send out your naval fleet to protect them from attack?

In January of this year, over 500 humanitarians bringing aid to Gaza as part of the Viva Palestina Convoy, were subjected to incredible acts of violence carried out by your security services. The world watched live on TV as these humanitarians were beaten with batons, rocks, water cannons, and tear gas. Is this how you treat people who help your Muslim brothers and sisters?

As well as your disgusting treatment of members of the convoy, you also brutally attacked over 1,000 people from all over the world in Cairo as they assembled to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the attacks on Gaza by your best friend Israel.

So Egypt, as long as you continue to imprison and allow the Palestinians to starve and die, the world will slowly but surely turn against you. Any right thinking person already has, given your track record on human rights.

From this day forward, you can take this as a notice that the world has seen you for what you really are. A full and total Boycott of your Pyramids and your so called resorts is now in effect. This is the only course of action that the world can take in order to show you that your behaviour is unacceptable, and until you open the border at Rafah, you will be held in the same low esteem as your boss, Israel.

So, Egypt, stand up and take a bow for your disgusting inhumane treatment of not only your neighbours, but of your fellow man.

How Much Do U Care?

Salam my brothers and sisters. How are u all today? How are ur parents? What about ur other relatives?...ur friends?..they're all good rite?..alhamdulillah! ..owh and i'm doing good too if u all were wondering..hehe..

I'm curious, if something were to happen to them, like any of them were to become ill, na'uzubillahi min dzaalik...of course u would be very concerned about them...some would be pretty shocked if they were to be somewhere far away from their friends and family at that particular time..especially those closest to you. U couldn't bare the thought of not knowing that something bad had happened to them. In other words, u care for ur friends and family, masyaAllah. That's something u should never give away. In fact we should also care for our brothers in islam.

عن أبى حمزة أنس بن مالك رضى الله عنه خادم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قل: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: لا يؤمن احدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب لنفسه

from Abu Hamzah Anas bin Malik r.a the helper of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: None of you [truly] believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself.(narated by Bukhari and Muslim)

اِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ اِخْوَةٌ فَاَصْلِحُوْا بَيْنَ اَخَوَيْكُمْ‌وَاتَّقُوْا اللّٰهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُوْنَ

The Believers are but a single brotherhood: so make peace and reconciliation between your two(contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy

(Al-Hujuraat : 10)

From the above it is clearly shown that we all are brothers and we need to care for one another. Just like family...so i wanna ask u this question.......

As the people of Palestine continue to be oppressed what do u do? U know u cannot go and fight for them for u are not capable of doing so. So what are u capable of doing? U can give little supplications for them but do you?!?...ok, what else can u do?...yeahhh u can start to boycott Israeli goods...but do you!?!!...stop sipping on ur can of pepsi! the only thing u taste is the blood of palestine..stop buying their products!..what? it's too good to leave them?..tell that to the people of palestine who are suffering by the very ones their products u buy!.How can u support something that'll give the upper hand to the zionists? There are tons of lists of boycotted products here and there..search for them!..

Furthermore in this time, where the fate of Masjid al-Aqsa is at risk. What?!? you don't know about this?!?..i suggest you do my brothers and sisters...while u all are sitting all comfortable at home...the people of palestine risk their lives day after day protecting the holiness of our first qiblat, the 3rd sacred place in islam, Masjid Al-Aqsa. May Allah bless them all.

So brothers and sisters in Islam...open ur eyes!..what's happening today...where are the ummah today?..how are they helping Islam?..what are we doing??...

How much do u care??

Muhammad....no one who can compare

It was on this blessed day, in Makkah, 12 rabi'ul awwal a child was born and the man he grew to be had made a great impact onto the islamic world...His name was Muhammad (pbuh). His mother was Aminah and his father was Abdullah who passed away while Muhammad(pbuh) was still in his mother's womb. Halimatus Saadiah nursed him and he stayed with her for 4 years before his Mother passed away 6 years after Prophet Muhammad's birth. It was then Muhammad(pbuh) became orphaned who was then taken cared of by his grandfather, Abdul Mutthalib and when his grandfather passed away, he was taken cared of by his uncle Abu Thalib. The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was the Last Messenger of ALLAH, he was the Chosen One. The Prophet passed away on the 12th of Rabi'ul awwal when he was 63 years old. He was buried in Madinah Al-Munawwarah,at his home at Masjid Nabawi.

Here, i did not write a lot about the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) even though he deserved thousands of pages written for him...but even so, i pray that my love for him shall one day come close to how much he loved his Ummah. Here, i just wanna ask u all to look back into our history. Look back to what a magnificent person he was...look back onto what he had sacrificed for us all. Only then will we truly know how much he loved his religion and ummah...so now i ask, how much do we love our beloved Prophet Muhammad(pbuh)??....do u know what he liked to eat?..do u know what he liked to wear??...do u know where he liked to sleep???...do u know what are his favorites????..Do we practice his sunnah?????...

Road Trip!

Alhamdulillah, my exams are over...all that's left now are the little supplications...praying for my success in any time, any place. Hope that you all also pray for my success...may Allah bless u all...

On the 1st of january 2010, yeahhh..pretty long ago..hehe..anyway...my brothers and i went on a little quest. Quest for what??..u'll find out soon.;)...It was just something to take our minds off the coming exams for a while. Letting the steam out for a while. Just spending some time with each other and hopefully strengthening the bond of brotherhood that exist among ourselves. insyaAllah...

We got on the van from our place, Zagazig at about 7 pm and we were headed towards north of egypt. Next stop.....Mansoura! It took about an hour and a half to get there cuz of the traffic. Usually takes just about an hour. Anyhow, we agreed with our other companians to meet at the station that'll take us to our final destination(sounds like a movie huh?..hehe)....Dumietta!!...before we got on the other van we took a short break to freshen up a lil bit, drinking fresh sugar cane juice(قصب). Then we were on our way!! If i'm not mistaken it took another hour and a half to reach dumietta(pretty hard to remember cuz it was a month ago)..We got there at bout 9 pm.

There we waited for my brother's brother, Huzaifah..i mean his true brother..blood brother..u get the point!.who is also a good friend of mine. Not often we meet cuz of the distance. Well, he studied there and knew how to get around in dumietta.

Alrite, everyones here, little tired but we can't hit the sacks until we....yeah...u know what we need....DINNER!!!..wohoooo!!..we ate at a nearby restaurant, Hadhra-maut.

k....after tummy's were full, well....at least some of us..hehe...we all spent the nite at a friends house to get some sleep and to rejuvenate our strength for the next morning cuz we were heading towards the beach for...........keep reading..u'll know what it is soon..don't scroll all the way down!!!..hehe

After some shut eye for about 3-4 hours, alhamdulillah we woke up for Fajr prayers in jamaah..it was quite cold and most were still sleepy that time but prayers are still an obligation that we cannot push aside. After prayers and a lil speech from some of us we had some tea and biscuits before we headed for the beach.

There, when everyone saw the sea from the distance...everyone's excited! everyone can't wait for...............................................

Yes...the main reason for our trip to dumietta is for clam picking, clam digging..whatever u call it....but sadly, there were some downers...the time we picked to come here, for some reason the tide has risen and it made it hard for us to dig up some clams. Usually u could just dig a lil bit with no complications to find a clam but now, we had to go deeper into the sea to find them. Kinda frustrating walking along the shore for bout half an hour and only find bout 2-3 clams. There were more dead jelly fish than clams...i was wearing jeans and all the unproper things that stopped me from goin' into the sea a lil bit..my brothers though who had on appropriate clothes wasted no time and dived in!..haha!..There are smaller clams lying around further from the tide that u can just pick easily but it isn't as fun as digging for those "king" clams...

...for over 3 hours picking, digging, and opening up clams it was 11.30 so we all stopped doing what we were doing and got ready for friday prayers..those who needed to take a shower took a shower..hehe

After friday prayers we had lunch and then we decided to visit a tourist place called ra'sul-bar(رأس البر). It's a pretty nice town to come visit in egypt. It does has a nice view of the mediterranean sea. U can just feel the cool breeze from the sea as u walk along the sidewalks. U can't go home until u reach the point where the Nile River meets the Mediterranean Sea. There, people gather around cuz there is something extraordinary that can be viewed occasionally, only during sunset.....

Here, as you can see insyaAllah, where the nile river meets the mediterranean sea..the dark region is the sea while the lighter one is the river..see the difference?..masyaAllah!.....alhamdulillah, Allah had given us the chance to see this right in front of our eyes...some had come here before, same time, same place but did not get to see this magnificent scenery.....don't mind the fishing boat tho..hehe

مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ

He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together.

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ

Between them is a barrier which they do not transgress.

..after we got back from ra'sul bar, we had dinner at huzaifah's house. We freshened up a lil bit then it was time we headed back to Zagazig. Because everyone was so tired strolling ra'sul bar we rented a van that took us straight to zagazig with no stops. and that would end our little family day at dumietta..

There were some ups and downs but in the end this trip turned out really good. Everyone had a good time, we spent more time together, insyaAllah, we had added another good memory to the scrapbook of our brotherhood.....and this post sets the record for the most posted photos in Within Me history..haha!..

Assalamu'alaikum my dear sisters in Islam...here are some tips to stay attractive and beautiful for the rest of ur life :

1- To beautify your eyes, lower your gaze towards strange men, this will make your eyes pure and shiny.

2- To beautify your face and make it more radiant, keep performing the wudu' minimum 5 times a day.

3- To have attractive lips, always mention ALLAH, Zikr, and remember to speak the truth.

4- As for blush and rouge, modesty is one of the best brands and it can be found at any islamic centers.

5- To remove impurities from your face and body, use a soap called "istighfaar", (seeking forgiveness from ALLAH). This soap will remove any bad deeds.

6- Now about your hair, If any of you have problem of split ends, then i suggest the "Islamic Hijab". This will protect your hair from damage.

7- As for jewelry, beautify your hands with humbleness and let your hands be generous and give charity to the poor.

8- To avoid heart disease, forgive people who have hurt you.

If you follow these beauty tips given to you by your Creator, insyaAllah you will have a beautiful inner and outer appearance.

Exams..we meet again

It's been quite a while since the last exam i've took. Still need to get my gears runnin'...kinda worried it won't function as well as the last time i took an exam....i still remember the exam season..i did not perform as well as others and it did leave quite a big impression..but the past remains in the past..cannot do anything bout it but just look at it as a reminder of what happened in the past and whether i intend of letting it happen again. So what i'm saying is that i have to step out of the past and move foward. We all have to. That's how we get better, thats how we progress...we learn from past mistakes. Alhamdulillah, i'm granted a another day to live in this world and another chance to make a difference in my life. Yes, there are many things that i regret of commiting and wish that it never happened. It's faith that lets me know that it happened for a reason. All i can do is pray that the good is coming for me.

Those who are taking some sort of important test or examination...just do ur best cuz if u don't, there'll be the, if only-talk in the future....yeahhh u know what i mean..-if only i studied harder, -if only i was more focus in class,-if only i took more vitamins...and whatever..if it does't come out of ur mouth it'll be playin' round in ur head...so study like there's no tomorrow...don't let urself have regrets..and if it doesn't turn out like u wanted it to, don't lose hope...have faith!..there's something better in store for u insyaAllah...

Hmmm this post is pretty short and i would want to write more but my exams are just around da corner and so much to do in such little time..so we'll just wrap it up k...just wanna wish u all the best..hope we all succeed....keep up the hard work yall...

kinda late posting this up but i've been quite busy the past few days...

it's been pretty busy in zagazig..alhamdulillah, we have brought down 2 camels..hehe..

the feast was quite good...and the celebration was wonderful..celebrating with my friends that i call family here has again tighten the bond between us..alhamdulillah, how grateful i am 2 have so many loving brothers....and sisters..hehe, here in egypt..i pray that these bonds shall last 4ever and ever and ever..hahaha!!..

I just wanna apologize 2 all my friends and family 4 all the things that i've done..the things i could've done 2 hurt u or just hurt u in any way..a thousand apologies...

and also i'm so sorry 2 my frends and family in malaysia who i have failed 2 contact during this 'eid..i'm having problems with the software i use 2 call malaysia..

The First 10 days of Zul Hijjah

Today, the 18th of november 2009, we have entered the 1st day of Zul Hijjah...Even for those not performing the Hajj, the first ten days of this month are considered very sacred and an opened opportunity for us muslims, seeking Allah's forgiveness, doing good and other various forms of worship.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has said about the first ten days of Zul Hijjah:

“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to ALLAH than these ten days." The people asked, "Not even Jihad for the sake of ALLAH?" He said, "Not even Jihad for the sake of ALLAH, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with

nothing” (Bukhari).

Praise be to ALLAH SWT, Who has created time and has made some times better than others, some months and days and nights better than others, when rewards are multiplied many times, as a mercy towards HIS servants. This encourages them to do more righteous deeds and makes them more eager to worship HIM, so that the Muslim renews his efforts to gain a greater share of rewards, preparing himself for death and supply himself in readiness for the Day of Judgement.

This season of worship brings many benefits, such as the opportunity to correct ones faults and make up for any shortcomings or anything that one might have missed. Every one of these special occasions involves some kind of worship through which we may draw closer to ALLAH SWT, and some kind of blessing though which ALLAH SWT bestows HIS favour and mercy upon whomsoever HE chooses. The happy person is the one who makes the most of these special months, days and hours and draws nearer to his Lord during these times through acts of worship; he will most likely be touched by the blessings of ALLAH SWT and will feel the joy of knowing that he is safe from the flames of Hell. [Ibn Rajab, al-Lataaif, p.8]

Generally, all good deeds are rewarded highly at this blessed time. These actions include praying, fasting, reading the Holy Quran, making Dua (supplication), giving in charity and being good to our families. In addition, seeking ALLAH's forgiveness at this time is also encouraged. This means more than just a verbal expression of sorrow for past misdeeds. It also requires a firm resolution to avoid making the same mistakes in the future by giving up bad habits and behaviour while sincerely turning to ALLAH.

So here my brothers and sisters...the path to ALLAH's forgiveness and blessings are always there for us to follow..not only that, HE has created so many shortcuts as an easier path for the weaker and also as an opportunity to greatly increase our deeds and acts of worship only for HIM, which in turn will greatly be of use in the hereafter...wALLAHu'alam..those who are wise shall never pass up these kinds of opportunities especially when concerning his happiness, not in this world but in the hereafter..have we become that wise??..we are always given chances but are we always gonna be there to take them??..

Winter, here he comes!!

Once again, here in egypt the winter has come 2 lower the temperature 2 a few degrees celcius. No more wearing thin plain t-shirts, it's sweaters and jackets now!!..huhu...the cold that winter has brought alongside has made a pretty big impact onto the malaysian students that live in egypt, whether they're here to learn or visit on their honeymoon..hehe...don't really know bout the arabs though. In the winter we usually have to make some adaptations, which usually means problems. For some, especially girls, the winter is well known to chubby us up. The cold really does have a way to stew up an appetite. We start to eat more than usual and then there's the sleep problem...sleep and big appetites don't really go well together....because of the cold we kinda have 2 use a quite, much thicker blanket than usual like a comforter but usually made out of some kind of wool. We call it "saratoga"...U can imagine how warm u can get when wrapped inside such a magnificent thing..huhu...and it's that heavenly warm, toasty feeling that makes u wanna close ur eyes and fall asleep....and then once ur nicely wrapped inside such a nice, warm environment.....u don't wanna get out!..it's so freezing in the morning, it's quite hard to wake up. Sometimes u do wake up, but u don't get up and going.

Ya ALLAH, forgive us of our sins, we are weak, so weak it is hard 4 us 2 wake up for fajr prayers just because of a little cold. U can imagine our dissapointment when we're no longer able 2 wake in the middle of the night for U, Ya ALLAH. Even if we can, it'll not be as khusyu' and frequent as it was before even though we try. Ya ALLAH, give us the strength to endure the freezing cold, give us strength to endure the obstacles that U cast upon us all...Only for U we pray and only from U we seek help and protection...ameen ya rabb

All day long, we're avoiding any contact with water...but as we are muslims, taking the wudhu' is a must(ablution) and after so that we usually shiver. Same thing goes when taking a shower. The time to study(for me) is decreased. The winter nights are long but it's usually used more for sleeping these days. I'm still trying my best not to sleep too much. Oh ALLAH, give me strength. These are one of the many forms of tests that come from ALLAH. In HIS interest that we are formed into a better person and muslim..insyaALLAH. So that's pretty much what happens in winter, apart from everything else. If i'm not mistaken it's strawberry season!!

اَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ اَنْ يُّتْرَكُوْۤا اَنْ يَّقُوْلُوْۤا اٰمَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَـنُوْنَ‏

Do men think that they will be left alone because they say, "we believe", and that they will not be tested?

وَلَقَدْ فَتَـنَّا الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ‌ فَلَيَـعْلَمَنَّ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ صَدَقُوْا وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ

and We did test those who were before them. So Allah will surely distinguish those who are truthful and He will surely distinguish the liars from the truthful.

(Al-'Ankabut :2-3)

Who has never cried when cutting an onion??..apart from those who have never cut any...hehe..here's a little explanation.

Onions produce the chemical irritant known as syn-propanethial-S-oxide. It stimulates the eye's lachrymal glands so they release tears. Scientists used to blame the enzyme allinase for the instability of substances in a cut onion. Recent studies from Japan, however, proved that lachrymatory-factor synthase, (a previously undiscovered enzyme) is the culprit (Imani et al, 2002).

The process goes as follows:

Lachrymatory-factor synthase is released into the air when we cut an onion.
The synthase enzyme converts the sulfoxides (amino acids) of the onion into sulfenic acid.The unstable sulfenic acid rearranges itself into syn-ropanethial-S-oxide.
Syn-propanethial-S-oxide gets into the air and comes in contact with our eyes. The lachrymal glands become irritated and produces the tears!

The worst part about chopping onions are the tears that flow from your eyes. There are many suggested methods for peeling without crying,
Run the cold water at the faucet in the kitchen sink.
Place a cutting board across the sink, in front of the running water.

Hey!!..i'm slicing the onions without tears!..yipeEee!!

Another way is to put the unpeeled onion in the freezer and leave it there for about ten minutes.

Remove the onion from the freezer and peel it.

The onion can now be sliced, chopped, or minced...owh wait..what's this?!?..without tears!!..haha!

It's also very helpful to keep all unchopped onion portions (especially at the beginning with the second half of the onion) sliced side down on your cutting board. This will minimize the release of extra enzymes into the air that cause tearing; you'll get enough just from the onion that you are cutting!

...but if you're that lazy to cut onions you can always follow the guy down there..haha!!

The Calling..

For Almost 3 months spending the holidays in Malaysia and not really going anywhere...just staying with the family, visiting relatives, taking care of the kids(not my children but my little brothers and sisters..hehe). Only once a year i get the chance so i'd just spend my holidays with some family time.

After a pretty long break, it's time i start answering the call, the call wanting me to strive in the never ending battle to serve my relegion, my family and most importantly, The Almighty ALLAH. Yup, it's time 2 go back 2 egypt 2 continue medicine in my 2nd year insyaALLAH.

After staying in Egypt for a while, then going home to malaysia had really opened my eyes a lil bit. Now i see what i couldn't have seen b4 i ever landed a foot in egypt. Right now, alhamdulillah, i understand what my community needs and i'll try my best 2 fulfill them. We all are the caliphs in this world. Yes, u too. If not us, then who?? كنتم خير امة, u are the best of people as stated by ALLAH :

كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّهِ

You (O the followers of Muhammad) are the best ummah that has ever been raised up for (the good of) mankind because you enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and you believe in ALLAH (with real belief).

(Ali-'Imran : 110)

We all have our own duty and everything has a purpose..so have faith that ALLAH has given that particular thing to u for your best interest. So quit whining and start being grateful my brothers and sisters for each and every single thing ALLAH has given us.

Even though my cravings 4 "nasi blauk"(malaysian dish, white rice with chicken, meat or fish with their gravy..yummy!!) has yet to be quenched, i'll be leaving Malaysia once more this monday insyaALLAH. Still packing stuff 2 bring back to Egypt. Mostly edible things that can't be or hard to be found in egypt like anchovy sauce(budu, some malaysias add some to white rice according to their preference).

Please pray that my trip will turn out fine as well as my arrival in egypt...May ALLAH bless u all..ameen

'Eidul Fitr...

Sadly, Our favourited guest Ramadhan has left us once more. Hopefully we had warmfully treated and cared for our guest with our outmost respect till the very last second of the time spent together. If it is ALLAH 's wish than we shall meet again..till next time InsyaALLAH. Ma'assalamah wa ilal liqa' ya Ramadhan..insyaALLAH

Ahlan wa sahlan ya 'Eidul Fitr. May the presence of Ramadhan this year have trained us spiritually. Come my brothers and sisters!!..return to the path that is righteous, holy, and blessed by ALLAH. A month we have fasted, resisting the urge to eat, drink, and any unholy wrong-doings disapproved by ALLAH with the intention of only pleasing ALLAH. InsyaALLAH, the rewards given are more than what its worth. Alhamdulillah. Only those who have really understood and executed the proper way to spend ramadhan is worthy of celebrating in this eid. So go on, celebrate my brothers and sisters!!.....but do not overcelebrate till a point where ALLAH is forgotten. May ALLAH bless this eid..ameen ya rabb

Owh how long has it been??..already a year?!? It's been too long. owh i've missed u so. I can already feel ur presence. I remember the great warm feeling every year u came....owh Ramadhan...I'm waiting 4 u. Shall i savor each and every second with u...insyaALLAH

O brothers and sisters in Islam...ramadhan holds so many wonderful benefits but only comes once a year. So strive for the rewards that await those who devote their time only 2 worship ALLAH. Do pray that we are given the opportunity to worship ALLAH on the night which is better than a thousand months...the night that comes in the last ten days of Ramadhan...the night where the Holy Quran has descended...the night when ALLAH shall answer ur prayers insyaALLAH...the night full of blessings...
It is lailatul qadar(ليلة القدر)...and in that night should we all strive in worshiping ALLAH..recite the quran, zikr, and as much dua as u can.

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ

Surely We revealed it [the Holy Quran] on the grandest night.

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ

And what will make you comprehend what the grandest night.

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

The grandest night is better than a thousand months.

تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ

The angels and Gabriel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair

سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّى مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ

Peace onto it until the break of the morning.
(Al Qadar : 1-5)

May ALLAH guide us in this coming Ramadhan...ameen ya rabb

I'm Home...

Alhamdulillah..i've arrived in malaysia safetly. All praises be 4 ALLAH for I have finished my 1st year of medicine and insyaALLAH..moving on to the 2nd year. Only a year has passed but somehow i feel like i've been there for much longer. So many memories packed in such a short time....looking foward to going back 2 Zagazig this October...insyaALLAH

The night of my flight at Cairo International Airport. The van was packed!!..we were like sardines in a moving can ondaway to the airport. Salam to those who wanted 2 come but couldn't make it.

Alhamdulillah....the results are out. What a relief!..thank u ALLAH, thank u ALLAH, thank u ALLAH....even though my results aren't that impressive, actually not really impressive at all but on the bright side..there will be no reseated tests for me and i'm qualified to continue to the 2nd year of my medical course. Yeah, i'm proud of myself. I worked hard to achieve those results even though it's not as good as others and was hoping 4 better results...i'm not complaining!! The Final exam has given me my own groove, i mean, a way to study, how to study under stressful conditions....better time management, etc.

I'll just have to utilize it next year from the very beginning til the end. We have to expand our minds a lil bit regarding things we experience day and night. Why was I faced with such things? Think people think!!...ALLAH is the most wise. What HE does is unpredictable. We were given brains 4 a reason. Maybe i was given such results to prevent me from arrogance or having to much pride in myself til a point i feel like i'm better than others if given a higher grade..or maybe HE is showing me that i need to step up and become more hardworking. There's always something good that'll come out of every single thing that we come upon in this life. The message here, BE GRATEFUL TO ALLAH. HE has given us plenty in this world but have we been grateful enough in response to HIS gifts?.....THINK!!

وَإِن تَعُدُّواْ نِعْمَةَ اللّهِ لاَ تُحْصُوهَا إِنَّ اللّهَ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

"and if you should count the favours of ALLAH, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, ALLAH is Forgiving and Merciful"

What I wanna talk bout 2day is something pretty relevant 2 to what's happenin' in this world. Please forgive me as what your about to read may be kinda personal and may have some explicit words and may cause discomfort but insyaALLAH my intention is to give a message here.

When I say the word, "couple", what comes to ur mind?? Ok, u might be thinking bout happy, married couples....u might also be thinking bout those so called "love birds" couple...or maybe something else, wAllahualam. What are their relationships built on? Is it really love??..that beautiful, pure and respectful love that has become so meaningful 2 us...or is it something else???...those who are smart should already have a idea on what is about to be portrayed here.

Ok, lets get straight 2 the point. What is love? Love is that instinct we bear within ourselves. Don't be embarrassed as this is a normal. ALLAH has made this normal to man. Don't be ashamed if u fall in love, it's normal. If some religious man said he fell in love with some woman or vice versa, don't get it the wrong way, they're human. Nothing dirty there....pure instict, but when they respond to that instict, that's when the problems start 2 come. Those who know, understand and obey the guidelines stated in the Holy Quran and the teachings of The Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. know how to handle this instinct. Remember that the devil is always trying to misguide every step we take. Always finding ways to trick us. Do not give in to his trickery as it will, in the end become "fatal".

We can see unmarried couples here and there. Ok, i'll just say boyfriend and girlfriend. What's the purpose in coupling without an official halal bond by marriage? What do u do in this so called relationship? for example, go out 4 dinner, endless text messaging and chatting, or maybe a stroll in the park......at night? These are small steps towards haram sex(zina).

وَلاَ تَقْرَبُواْ الزِّنَى إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَسَاءَ سَبِيلاً
"And come not near to the unlawful sexual intercourse(zina) Verily, it is a Fahishah [i.e. anything that transgresses its limits (a great sin)], and an evil way (that leads one to Hell unless Allah forgives him)."
(al Isra' : 32)

It is clearly stated in the Holy Quran that we are not allowed to come even close to zina. People may recite the Quran but not know the meaning of what they recite. Some may recite but are unable to interpret the meaning of the quran. Some others may understand the meaning, but have failed to act upon their understanding. Funny how the human heart works huh? It's complicated.

Everyone has that lust and desire within them(nafsu). That's also normal and needs to be conquered by the person who holds this lust. It can be controlled, but it must not be stimulated as it may lead to something we don't want..na'uzubillah. Be careful my brothers and sisters. Lust we hold inside ourselves are like two rocks. If we strike the two rocks together we get sparks rite? When striked a couple of times, the dried leaves or flammable material surrounding the two rocks will burn slowly, eventually engulfing the two rocks in flames. lets see this dialogue below to relate:

...the following situation takes place on campus where a male and female student are on their way home from random destinations at 8.00 p.m. Before they pass each other one speaks up to the other.....

Amar : Eh?..sorang je ke??(Eh?..all alone??)

Siti : iye, sorang je...awk ni buta ke?(yeah, all alone...are u blind??)

Amar : hehe, xdela...saje tanya. Knapa jln sorang mlm2 gini ni?(hehe, it's not like that...just askin'. Why are u all alone at this time at night?)

Siti : Tdi ade meeting AJK tp x sangka plak abis lewat..budget sblom waktu maghrib lg da selesai meeting. Bnyk perkara yg perlu diselesaikn tdi. Sy ditinggalkn sorang tdi sbb nk selesaikn keje sket dan semua balik dulu. Awk? (I had a meeting with the other superiors earlier but I didn't expect it to end this late..I thought it would end before maghrib. There was alot to be settled earlier. I was left behind cuz I needed to finish up some left up work and everyone else had already went home. U?)

Amar : oo yeke?..sy dari masjid..baru habis tazkirah maghrib sebentar tdi...nk sy teman balik x?? (oo really?..I was from the Mosque..the maghrib lecture just finished...do u want me to walk u home??)

Siti : ehhh...xpyhla, dkt je pon. (ehhh...it's ok, it's not that far.)

Amar : owh ok...jaga diri leklok. Jumpa lg. (owh ok...take care. See ya again.)

Siti : ok..bubye (do i need to translate this too??..haha)

Amar : bye...assalamua'alaikum

Siti : wa'alaikumussalam...

...both go their separate ways with smiles on their faces...

Amar : "huhu, merdu jugak suara wanita tdi..kene tau nama die tu, kt mana die tinggal...kene tau semualah! kalolah dpt menemani die balik sebentar tdi.." (huhu, that girl's voice is soo sweet..I have to know her name, where she lives...I gotta know everything bout her!..If only I could've walked her home just now..)

Siti : "Wow...abg tdi tampan jgk ye..dgn suara kejantanannya..cairlaa sy dgr..gentleman plak tu"(Wow..that guy just now was pretty handsome..with that manly voice..I could just melt hearing that voice..what a gentleman)

...By reading this short dialogue, we can see that both Amar and Siti are nice people..diligent, have good bond with islam, etc...but here we can see that something is wrong. By the action of Amar who spoke up to Siti leaded to a conversation. This conversation was started by a simple question because of Amar's concern which led to the next question. Then not long this conversation turned into something unnecessary. After the conversation they were thinking about each other and then having little thoughts, wondering where one of them lived...what were their names and so on....guess what??..this is the devil's work...u cannot imagine the effort he has to lead us astray from the right path..na'uzubillahi min zaliik...be careful my brothers and sisters..the above situation happened when it was dark with nobody around. Avoid these kind of situations for there are more than just two parties...

The Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. said :

"Whenever a man is alone with another woman the devil makes the third"

...yup, there's the devil doing all he can to lead us astray from the righteous path.

Ok, back to the main problem here. What is love? Is love having the most beautiful girl as a girlfriend?, "hey guys!!...look at my gf!!..she's pretty right? I fell in love with her at first sight"...is that the main reason u "fell in love" with her? or is it that u desire something else? Is it possible that it's just the lust wanting something to satisfy it's hunger?? Maybe...sex? U start to think and say, "What are u talking about?!?...I don't wan't that..she's just really beautiful, so beautiful my eyes couldn't look elsewhere, just on her."..well if u wanna put it that way...if it was really her physical beauty that made u "fall in love" with her..wanting sex is not such a stranger from that term. I'm sorry again for my language but i'm trying to make a point here. Looks aren't everything and need to be taken care of. We need to restrict our sight or gaze from gazing upon un-mahram women as men gaze upon women with lust in their eyes. The same goes for women even though their appearance is quite respectful.

The Almighty ALLAH says :

قُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ
"Say to believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty"
(An-Nur : 30)

وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ
"And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty"
(An-Nur : 31)

Lets say those kinds of couples go dating, going out, seeing each other, whatever term u wanna put it. Then after a long time of doing this, they decide to get married. I'm just saying that mostly, marriages won't stay like this and if it does, it won't be as wonderful as we all thought it would be as there will come many unpleasant things. As for example, the husband, he's happily married for the first couple of months. Then comes a day where he'll get bored of his wife for he has gotten what he wanted....sex!!..he's in love with sex..that's what started everything and that's what he'll get..nothing more. Then there's always divorces. These kind of men are ruining marriages. I'm not trying to point out the negatives that come out of marriage but i'm trying to say that these are the consequences that comes out of a marriage based on such principles.

Love, the true love, it's pure and respectful. Must be built upon a strong base of islam which is taken care of by the right fundamentals. This kind of love built during marriage will lead to the next wonderful thing. These couples obeyed the law stated by ALLAH and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. They fell in love not because of looks but what their hearts has to offer. They fell in love because of the good characteristics one of them possesses. Some men are not quite that dashing or handsome, but some women are able to see past through that exterior and what's condemned inside...kindness, responsibility, priority, love for islam, love 4 knowledge, love for their parents and many more fine characteristics. This one girl said, " I fell in love with him because he takes care of his prayers and has great respect for elders.". The same goes for women. Beauty comes in many forms. These men see the goodness women have to offer. That's why their marriages last. It is built among these components. From all of this, they will have more love and affection for one another during their marriage. Strengthening the bond between husband and wife. Even though the sex has stopped for some reason, the husband will still love and take care of his wife for sex is not what he married her for. Sex is just a branch from marriage. It gives the couple an opportunity to have children that they can cherish and love together, tightening the bond between them.

True love is the love that can lead to loving ALLAH and loving ALLAH is worshiping HIM. Coupling won't lead to ALLAH's love, instead, just the opposite that'll result in unimagined punishment in the end. Coupling(marriage) for the right reasons and true intentions shall bring u happiness, insyaALLAH. It is a sunnah and an 'ibadah. Finding that "one" person to share a life with u will take time. The proper way to find ur match shall be mentioned some other time. Marriage is also a test from ALLAH so be patient when dealing with these matters. Its does has it's hikmah....mostly preventing sins that can come out of love. True love is the love that can save them from ALLAH's fire.

By reading the above, I hope you can differentiate between true love and filthy, false love. So here we can say that love that is allowed is :
-love that follows the islam principles
-love that is not built based on lust and desire
-does not imitate the western ways
-does not come to a point where it overcomes the love for ALLAH
-good management
etc..

My brothers and sisters, once more i'm sorry for any discomfort caused by reading the above post but I just want to give out a clear message to the ummah. Pray to ALLAH so we are free from the seduction of lust and the tricks of the devil. Pray that we all are given the rightful partners in sharing a life that will lead to the blessings of ALLAH, insyaALLAH. We shall be given a lover according to who we really are.

الْخَبِيثَاتُ لِلْخَبِيثِينَ وَالْخَبِيثُونَ لِلْخَبِيثَاتِ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ لِلطَّيِّبِينَ وَالطَّيِّبُونَ لِلطَّيِّبَاتِ
"The wicked women are for the wicked men, and the wicked men are for the wicked women and the good women are for the good men, and the good men are for the good women"

New Season

Assalamu'alaikum...

Welcome back!!...It's been a while since I posted anything here and still working on my next post. Alhamdulillah, I just finished my exam today. Feel kinda good now with all the stress and frustration gone, but even though the exams are over, I can't get them out of my mind. I think about how much I strived, I think about how my results are goin' 2 turn out, and what bugs me the most is that I sometimes ask myself if i'm capable of scoring a scholarship. These things prevent myself to achieve a peace of mind. So I can't officially pronounce 2day as "merdeka" like most of my other friends had. Then I think of HIM....alhamdulillah..my prayers to ALLAH has given me the assurance that everything will turn out fine....HE has given me FAITH.

As long as I find ways to stay close to HIM and continue praying for the best, my faith will eventually give me that peace of mind...alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah...

Anyway i'm not typin' this to make u feel sorry for me or something. The thing is, peace and happiness shall come to those who put effort in truly worshiping ALLAH and ur faith in ALLAH should be stored in ur heart no matter what. What do u want in this mortal realm? What do u want in the hereafter life?? What do u desire???..u ask from ALLAH...HE should be ur first place to come for. ALLAH is Al-Kariim, The Most Generous. InsyaALLAH, He shall grant u of what u wish for with the faith u carry within urselves. Be patient as HIS ways are far too complex for us to figure out for HE is Al-Hakeem, The Most Wise. Allahualam. If it comes early be grateful. If it takes a long time HE wants to teach u on how to be patient, still be grateful. If it doesn't come, HE has better plans for u. Everything that happens in this world has a purpose.

Keep praying my brothers and sisters....

That's all 4 now, wait for my next posting, may take a while cuz of the internet problems at 'imaroh el kafr zend..i'll try my best insyaALLAH...

2day, the 31st of May is my very special day....it's my birthday!!....somehow I feel like this is my worst birthday ever..haha!! but alhamdulillah, my close friends do remember my birthday and with all their wishes 2day wasn't as bad as I thought..but there'll be no celebration for I have an exam this Tuesday. Been very tired studyin' 4 my exam and all. Day and nite nonstop. Sometimes I just feel so tired and my brain just doesn't want to cooperate anymore. 2day I watched a video of ma youngest sis, Nurul Hanis with ma eldest sis just messin' with her. Things like that can really give the boost I need and not 4getting my prayers 2 ALLAH, hoping HE gives me strength 2 endure the ostacles HE sets forth upon me, InsyaALLAH. The vid's down there. Since i'm "klantanese" , they're speaking klantanese language...hehe...dun understand?..ask me!

These past few weeks has been pretty stressful with the exam and all the stuff that has been goin' on which some of u may know. Nothing 2 worry bout insyaALLAH. The thing is sumtimes I get pretty stressfull and it affects my performance in my studies. Alhamdulillah, I am so gratefull to ALLAH for giving me the peace in mind and soul so I can continue studying for my exam. All I wanna say is whatever happens, the one u should seek out is ALLAH. Having a hard time??..if ur belongings has been taken or damaged, remember that ALLAH has given that 2 u...If u had been hurt, stay calm and be strong comfronting it..remember that it is a test, to see how u overcome them, and do not get down in the gutter for this is a sign of ALLAH's love for u and remember that his love is greater than anything in this world. No need going about the mortal world for it only lasts a moment my brothers and sisters. Always taubat to cleanse ur soul...take care of ur sholat and always be gratefull to ALLAH..alhamdulillah!!

When u look 4 strength in urself, u are weak...but if u look 4 strength in ALLAH, u are stronger

Assalamu'alaikum to my brothers and sisters,

What's up?..hope u guys are always in good shape..hehe..those who are still taking the examination, keep up the good work. To my brothers and sisters who just finished all the practical exams with me today...I know how u feel when thinking about the Anatomy written exam next week..and the other written exams...fuhh..Relax, there's still time, don't get overstressed, stay calm, and put ur faith 100% in ALLAH and strive 4 what u want. InsyaALLAH, ALLAH shall distribute success upon us all. It depends on us also. The time given before the exam should be spent wisely cause time can't slow down, time can't move in reverse, once it pasts...it's gone dude. Don't end up like the guy down there. Our hardwork is almost like a mirror to what ALLAH will give us in the end. The amount of effort we put in studying for our exam, it is exactly that much ALLAH shall reward.

Even though we're all havin' the exam fever, it doesn't mean we're not well enough to offer more 'Ibadah to ALLAH....actually we should be increasing our 'amal 'ibadah in this time of year. We are in need of HIS help but aren't we ashamed of asking for something more in the fact that HE has given plenty and plenty?..huhu...we want so much from someone but are we giving them anything in return??..I know people who accept gifts and help others aren't supposed 2 ask 4 something in return but aren't we a good enough person to give something back as a token of our appreciation??...ok...rite now we're asking from ALLAH...anything ring a bell??....huhuu..u guys are old enough to think 4 urselves...so go read the Quran, zikr or something..insyaALLAH, ALLAH shall accept our 'ibadah according 2 our true intentions...so my point is, don't get too obsessed with the mortal world tests, it should be the tests in interest of the hereafter u should be worried about most. u all understand right??...insyaALLAH....

Ok, it may be a lil late 4 this but it's better late than never rite??...I just wanna apologize if I offended any of u. Minta Maaf sgt2 atas silap dan salah, jika ana ada menyakiti sesiapa, I'm very sorry....I pray we all exceed and are able to obtain excellent results and come home 2 Malizia with a gift to show ur parents..insyaALLAH.

Just wanna let u all know, I won't be so active with my blog cause of the exams, so I won't post anything until it ends...but don't let that discourage u all from visiting my blog. In case u all are taking a rest from studying or just can't input any more info in ur brain..haha..on the right I have a player playing some songs. Alhamdulillah, Sami yusuf is a man with a wonderful voice. This year he comes with a new album, "Without You". I guarantee the Sami Yusuf fans will love this album. I haven't heard all of them yet, but his full album will soon be in my laptop when it's download complete...hehe..sori Sami, i'm in Egypt....Finding Mp3 nasyeed downloads are very hard especially those recently released, but thanx 2 a brother who uploaded this album, i'll be able to listen 2 Sami Yusuf's new album. He wants nothing in return except a du'a for him. MasyaALLAH...

In the Nasyeed world, Inteam is no stranger to those who are trully into nasyeed. In this album, all past inteam members has reunited to come back more solid than ever before to release an album named "Allahu Rabbi", which was released this year, last Febuary if i'm not mistaken. The tracks featured are "Hamzah Asadullah", "Allahu Rabbi" and the song made for the palestine, "Hanya Takdir". I am very pleased to see Syam again with his brothers after departing with DeHearty after Inteam's Impian Kasih. I'm a big fan...hehe. Anyway this is a good album. If ur in Malaysia, quickly stop by ur nearest store and buy this album, but don't stop by kedai runcit!!..Make sure it's original and u have the genuine sticker...never betray inteam by buying ayam brand!!...unless ur like me in Egypt..in my condition it's ok to download..heehehe...ur welcome to come by my house to get the 10 songs portrayed in this album along with other nasyeed groups.

...and here we have U.N.I.C who too have a new album released this year called "Langkah Tercipta". It's a mix of their past 4 albums plus 4 new songs, "Langkah Tercipta", "Hanyut", "Jalan Pulangku", and "Bicara Tentang Cinta". This album Also introduces the new member of U.N.I.C., the winner of AQ5, Fakhrul Radhi. I also have this album at home, come by if u want it...but don't come by empty-handed..bring some goodies!!..crepe ke..haha!!

No One Like U..

Mother, o mother.....ohhhh how much pain have I given u. Tears streamed down ur face during my birth. Tears fell from ur eyes when I was so disobedient. Tears flew when u thought u weren't a good mother because of my naughtiness....i'm so sorry for making u cry mother. U wouldn't get enough sleep because u were too busy wonderin' why I was crying at nite. U wouldn't rest ur eyes until my cries were changed to silent snores. During the day I would also cry as if it seemed that I was never satisfied and u woudn't waste a second to hurry on by and pick me up to silent my cries. My weak, tiny little fingers would try to hang onto ur grown-up fingers....I would baby talk beg u..."don't leave me!!".

Days go by, day by day and look at me now mother. I'm all grown up. I'm studying medicine in egypt now mother. Yes mother, i'm 19 already. Yes mother, I remember my first day of school. My hands were glued to yours and I wouldn't let go for we were never seperated from each other before. I eventually did when we arrived at my class but you still stood outside the door, looking through the window to make sure that I was ok. U actually couldn't be separated from me also but u needed to learn how to let go of me too.

Yes, i'm really 19 mother. The joy we spent together, the hardship we fought together, the love we cherished together, and every single thing we did together will forever be stored in a special place in my heart. Even though those 19 years flew by quickly , but the memories would last a lifetime.

Even though I can't be with u rite now, be sure that I cherish each and every moment we did. I'm so sorry that my "poyo" posting can't be typed in a special way today, I was never good with words mother...but I have no worries for u are the mother I was born to know till now and I know that u know how much I really care bout u.

I'm sad to know that I can't repay for all the love u poured onto me these years but my sadness fades as I know what ALLAH has in store for u in paradise. All I can do is be grateful to ALLAH for giving me such a wonderful Mother and pray for ur well-being.

The Launching

Assalamu'alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh...

Alhamdulillah, all praises be for ALLAH for He has finally granted me the launch of my own blog...huhu. May ALLAH grant me wisdom and use this opportunity for the benefit of Islam.

Since last year i've been watchin' everybody publishing posts on their own blog and i've always wondered, "what's up with this blog thingy?, ur just spending hours and hours typing whatever pops in ur head, it's just like talking. The only difference is that ur typing whatever u wanna say, ur just wasting ur time duuude!!(me talking to myself)". Then I start to get some FW's from my YM which links me to some blogs of some Ustaz in egypt. So I opened it, and there was lots of good stuff in them. Some vids of Islamic Lectures, "typed" islamic lectures straight from the blogger(ustaz), some videos and many more. From this, alhamdulillah, I see the good that can come out of this blog which I call "Within Me"(not poyo). ALLAH has given me the inspiration to make my own blog and maybe I, can too do the same as the ustaz2 did.......or something like that. F.Y.I. i'm a medical student in ZagZig, not an Al-Azhar student..haha, but that won't stop me. Let's see what I can do...insya-ALLAH.

So now, I, Abdul Rahman bin Ahmad Bukhari, will do the honours of launching this blog with this posting. May ALLAH always bless everything that I am about to post from this day foward. amiin
